Manufacturing Supervisor - Night shift

The Manufacturing Supervisor at MilliporeSigma is accountable for team performance and results.
The Supervisor will allocate, coordinate and supervise work as a team leader in addition to monitoring progress, timeliness, completion, and quality.
The Supervisor will receive guidance from the Manager to set team goals and priorities and assist in determining the appropriate approach for new assignments.
The Supervisor is responsible for the following tasks:
Supervise operations within a facility to achieve effective and efficient output, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivityLead and motivate following the corporate High Impact Culture standardsOrganize the daily operation, communicate well, and remove obstacles to achieve resultsSupport in the recruitment and onboarding of new hiresManage and drive the training and educational process and procedures for the production teamConduct employee reviews for staff performance per company guidelines and support employee development to ensure individual and company objectives are addressedReview safety procedures, operational procedures, and work instructions, ensuring they are up to date and can be executed safelyBuild and maintain a culture of hazard recognition, risk assessment, and incident preventionReport safety and quality events, and assist in root cause analysis and sustainable resolutionLead or participate in the Emergency Response Team activities.
Complete the training requirements to be able to support the team in an emergency response event, in an incident command role, or in other roles required for safe and effective hazard mitigationLead the Continuous Improvement and Continuous Optimization efforts following the Operational Excellence strategy and educational opportunitiesEnsure the group maintains and improves work areas following the established 6S programMiscellaneous duties and tasks as assignedShift/Hours:
12-hour night shift, 6:
00 PM - 6:
30 AM - 2/2/3 schedule (example:
M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat) Physical Attributes:
Work with open chemicals; wear appropriate PPE (including a respirator, hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical-resistant suits, gloves, and safety shoes)Routinely lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or HSED10
years of experience in a maintenance or manufacturing role 2
years of experience in a leadership role 2
years of experience working with computer maintenance management systems (i.
e.
, SAP) Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration3
years of leadership experienceSAP experienceExperience leading, training and motivating people3
years of manufacturing production or R&D experienceProject management or planning and scheduling experienceStrong leadership skills in order to motivate and coordinate employee activities and to handle any disciplinary issuesStrong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and across functional groupsExcellent problem-solving & analytical skills to analyze information and make decisions based on needs, priorities, changing business conditions and budgetary constraintsAttention to detail including quality control, cleaning, upkeep & safety standardsSelf-starter, ability to work independentlyFundamental understanding of quality systems and requirements (ISO standards, semiconductor practices, GMP, etc.
