Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd shift

The Maintenance Supervisor at MilliporeSigma will monitor and direct the activities of their site maintenance technician crew to ensure productivity, accuracy, service, and safety related to the work performed, which involves training, mentoring, and motivating employees, collaborating with business partners, and assigning tasks based on individual skill sets to maintain timely, accurate workflow in support of site operations.
The Supervisor will analyze work performed by the team to establish performance benchmarks, monitor trends, and identify areas of concern and opportunities for improving systems, procedures, and technician skills.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the following tasks:
Direct, plan, schedule, and report on all work activities Report on progress against established maintenance work metricsManage the work order priorities and backlogAssist in establishing needed maintenance tools and equipmentDevelop personnel by identifying & providing required training and developmentCounsel personnel to resolve conflicts and personnel problemsDevelop behavioral leadership and management skills through training and educationDemonstrate leadership by establishing and communicating priorities to properly complete workUse effective goal-setting and delegation methods efficientlyConduct daily technician communication meetings during shift exchanges and one on one meetingsProvide evaluations and guidance by completing performance appraisals for each direct reportProvide disciplinary actions and use positive reinforcement with proper documentationProvide proper attendance recordkeeping, review and approve electronic timecards and manage attendanceSet each employee's goals and provide immediate performance feedback when neededStay current on technological changes by training, certifications, and attending technical seminars and trade showsStay current on environmental, safety, and ergonomic issuesAttend & conduct EHS meetings, training, and seminarsEnsure employees attend EHS meetings, training, and seminarsMaintain exemplary housekeeping in areas of responsibilityReview and inspect direct report's work for safe work habits and proper completion, training, and coachingMiscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance and Site ManagementExemplary attendance and adherence to the schedule Hours/Days - 2nd shift position:

Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or HSED10
years of experience in a maintenance role with increasing responsibilities2
years of leadership experience2
years of SAP or other CMMS (computer maintenance management system) experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in maintenance or other manufacturing discipline3
years of leadership experience5
years of SAP experience or other CMMS (computer maintenance management system)1
year of LEAN improvement project leadership and tactical planning experienceStrong communication and analytical skills Recommended Skills Analytical Coaching And Mentoring Communication Ergonomics Housekeeping Leadership Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
